How Our Service Works

pic3It is essential that no persons enter the boat daring the spraying operation or until the foam is cured and adequate ventilation is available. A safety data sheet provided by the chemical manufacture is attached in accordance with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations.

We require that the surfaces to be clean dry and free of oil or grease.

Foam will not react with epoxy or oil- based paints but may be adversely affected by bitumen or tar products and these should be avoided where foam is to be applied. All battening should be completed beforehand preferably using dry timber at least 25 mm thick. The face of all battens should be masked with parcel tape.

All surfaces and equipment, to be protected from contamination, must be totally covered in polythene sheeting with the edges sealed with masking or parcel tape. Openings in the shell, such as hatches, doorways, vent and window cutouts must be securely covered over from the out side in order to prevent spray adhering to exterior paintwork etc. If finished floor boarding is in place it must be protected by substantial polythene sheet, e.g. 500 gauge visqueen securely taped in place around all edges and joins. We need all the masking to be completed before we arrive and the boat to be free of stored materials and obstructions. If you nave particular needs please let us know well in advance.

Upon completion of spraying our personnel will remove the masking, cutback areas where excess foam has been applied, collect up and remove waste. We do undertake to leave the boat in a tidy, workmanlike condition but we do not guarantee that further cutting back will not be needed to confined areas.
We are delighted to be favoured with your work and we will endeavour to provide you with a quality service adding value to your boat and improving its insulation and your comfort.
